We gather each Wednesday to worship together. We begin at 5:00 pm with a come and go meal. At 5:50 we worship in the sanctuary with our Youth Prayze Band. Then at 6:15 we offer programming for all ages.
Vine & Dine – Habitat for Humanity is sponsoring the second annual Vine & Dine at Big Creek Crossing on October 28 from 12-4 pm. Sample tasty treats from 16 participating Hays restaurants. Tickets can be purchased from eventbrite.com (go to find an event), through Facebook (facebook.com/HFHEC), the Habitat ReStore, or at the door. Tickets are $20 per adult, $20 for 2 children, aged 4-12, children 3 and under are free. Tickets for raffle items are also available. All proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity of Ellis County to help build homes for our neighbors in need.
The blue carnation near the lecturn, presented by United Methodist Women, is in honor of the birth of Ivan Reed, son of Devin & Kristin Reed and brother of Eli, Theodore and Anderson Reed. Ivan was born September 26, 2018 at Hays Med.
Don’t forget, Wednesday, October 17, it’s Hays First United Methodist Church Night at Pa’s Pumpkin Patch! This is a church family outing!!! Go to Jeff & Marla Copper’s farm at 978 - 250th Avenue (2.5 miles south of town on Hwy 183 at mile marker 150) any time after 5 p.m. Hot dogs, chips and water will be served. S’mores kits available for $1. Hay rack rides, corn maze and jumping pillow all free of charge this night only, thanks to the generosity of the Copper Family. Pick out your own pumpkin, bring 50 cents/pound, the average pumpkin is $5-10. Special closing prayer and picture at 7 p.m. in the barn!
Trunk or Treat – Wednesday – October 24 – 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Decorate your car trunk or truck bed with your most exciting Halloween décor and head to the north church parking lot to pass out candy or treats to some cute kids! Carnival games and meal served from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. No childcare available. See flyers in Welcome Center.
